Grace M. Vanderhei
Formerly known as Grace Stanke and Miss America 2023. I am a proud Wisconsinite promoting clean energy, women in STEM, and empowerment across the world. As a nuclear engineer and a public speaker, I’m not looking to change the entire world on my own - I’m making the one connection that will start a chain reaction.
My Mission
My mission is to bring the energy, literally and figuratively. This rad goal of mine is to help the globe transition to reliable and accessible energy for all. Part of that includes education around how energy grids work, and where electricity comes from. I am determined to create a more informed, empowered, and sustainable future. Through continuing my platform, “Clean Energy, Cleaner Future,” I advocate for the safe and responsible use of nuclear power and other energy solutions to help address climate change. As both a nuclear engineer and Miss America 2023, I use my voice to bridge the gap between science and the public. Nuclear energy might seem scary, but I’m willing to challenge misinformation and make complex topics more accessible.
